Sisterhood Sukkah Sizzle

Please join us for Temple Beth Am Sisterhood's annual Sukkah Sizzle on Thursday, October 9th at 7:00 pm!

Celebrate in the sukkah as we sip and schmooze together to celebrate Sukkot. There will be light refreshments and, of course, wine! All are welcome and there is no charge. Enjoy the decorations of the sukkah which are provided by Sisterhood. Come see longtime friends and make new ones. We look forward to greeting returning members and welcoming new Sisterhood and temple members.

Book Discussion - People of the Book

On Tuesday, November 4th at 7:00 pm, Beth Am Books will be holding a Zoom meeting to discuss the novel People of the Book by Pulitzer Prize winner Geraldine Brooks.

People of the Book is a novel of sweeping historical grandeur and intimate emotional intensity as the story follows a rare manuscript through centuries of exile and war. When it falls to Australian rare book expert Hanna Heath to conserve this priceless work, the tiny artifacts she discovers in its ancient binding—a butterfly wing fragment, wine stains, salt crystals, a white hair—only begin to unlock the book’s deep mysteries and unexpectedly plunges Hanna into the intrigues of fine art forgers and ultra-nationalist fanatics.

The Sisterhood is an active and vital group of women who are professionals, stay at home moms, young women and grandmothers within the congregation who come together to enhance the lives of our members with programs that provide meaning, enjoyment and an opportunity to form new friendships!

We invite you to learn more about being part of our active community and will be offering a variety of programs and activities to meet our member needs for families, couples and Sisterhood members alike.

Want to help with Sisterhood? Sisterhood is looking for members to help plan events. No experience necessary, just a positive attitude and willingness to help! Contact Susan Weiss if you would like to help next year.

Want to donate to the Little Free Pantry but can't make it there? You can order items on the temple's Little Free Pantry Amazon Wish List and they will be sent directly to the temple office.
Also, bring extra books for the Little Free Library located next to the pantry.
Wednesday Bingo still could use more help! Bingo is one of the largest fundraisers for Temple Beth Am. We especially need volunteers to sell Bingo cards from 9:30 to 11:15 and also volunteers to work in the money room throughout the day. If you can give a couple of hours once a month on Wednesdays during the day, we would be very appreciative! Can't make it on Wednesdays? Monday Night Bingo needs help as well.
